Over the past period, we've been working on a new version of our platform, with the goal of making it more user-friendly and efficient. Below is a full overview of everything that has changed.
New interface
The platform has been completely redesigned for both desktop and mobile. The mobile experience in particular has been improved significantly, and now feels much more like a native app.
Manual review & smarter matching
All campaigns now go through a manual review by a Tunebump team member before going live. During this review, we also determine which curators are the best fit for your track, based on improvements to our matching algorithm that better account for genre and playlist activity. You'll receive an email within 24 hours of submitting your campaign to confirm it's been activated.
As part of this, we've introduced two new campaign statuses:
- Pending — your campaign is under review by our team
- Draft — your campaign has been created but not yet launched
Referral system
Artists can now invite others to Tunebump using a personal referral link. When someone signs up through your link and makes their first purchase, you'll automatically receive 100 credits ($10) in your account. You can find your referral link in your dashboard.
Help Center
We've launched a new Help Center with articles covering how Tunebump works, what to expect as an artist, and how the curator process works. If you have a question, it's a good place to start.
Better communication
We've expanded our transactional emails and account notifications so you're always up to date on what's happening with your campaigns, submissions, and account activity.
Reassignment logic & 14-day campaigns
This is one of the bigger changes. If a curator does not respond to your submission in time, your track is now automatically reassigned to another playlist. This improves your chances of getting feedback and keeps campaigns moving forward.
To support this, campaign duration is now 14 days. After 14 days, if there are still unanswered pitches, you can manually complete your campaign from your dashboard. You'll receive a credit refund for any pitches that went unanswered.
Higher curator rewards
We've increased and made curator rewards more dynamic. This helps us attract more high-quality playlist curators to the network, which ultimately benefits artists through better feedback and more relevant playlist placements.
More payment options
Apple Pay and Google Pay are now supported when purchasing credits, in addition to the existing payment methods.
Curator improvements
We've made several improvements to the curator experience:
- Skip option — curators can now skip a track if they don't want to review it
- Pause toggle — curators can pause their account directly from the navigation bar, so they won't receive new submissions while away or on vacation
- Additional payout options — Bitcoin and Wise have been added as payout methods, alongside PayPal
Risk monitoring
We've continued development of our risk monitoring system, which allows us to continuously track playlist quality and flag unusual activity. This helps us maintain the integrity of our curator network.
